From there he spent years with large tree firms, taking on the volume and variety of work that teaches you what textbooks can't. He then worked freelance as a climber for a range of companies across the North West, which meant learning a dozen different ways of approaching the same tree and picking out the methods that were safest and cleanest. Six years ago he started DW Treecare to deliver that standard of work directly to local homeowners and businesses, at prices that stay competitive. Today Daniel holds City & Guilds Level 3 Arboriculture, plus all relevant certificates held by Daniel and the team members. He works with two regular crew members, and brings in an extra qualified climber for larger jobs or when he needs to be focused elsewhere.
